Lauren’s Last Day :(

Written by Andrea on February 9th, 2010

My last day at NEWTW!ST has arrived. Today is the day that I bid farewell to not only my job, but the city I call home. After 4 years at the University of Oregon and 10 months at NEWTW!ST, I find it hard to imagine being anywhere else. However, I know it is time to move on.  As a final thank you and goodbye to my dear friends/co-workers at NEWTW!ST I have written a small poem in their honor. It is a play off of the famous Margaret Wise Brown poem and Children’s book “Goodnight Moon.”

Goodn!ght NEWTW!ST
Goodn!ght Dears
Goodn!ght greyhound cheers
Goodn!ght gold prices, jumping over the moon
Goodn!ght brown diamonds
And the platinum chain
Goodn!ght Wasabi
Goodn!ght Harari
Goodn!ght Zahavi
And goodn!ght ten thousand other things
Goodn!ght animal clocks
And goodn!ght shimmering rocks
Goodn!ght little studs
And goodn!ght message bean buds
Goodn!ght 5th street
And goodn!ght provisions pizza
Goodn!ght champagne parties
Goodn!ght champagne ladies
And goodn!ght to you Colleen
whispering “Hey Sweetie PIE!”
Goodn!ght Eugene
Goodn!ght my home for the past 5 years
Goodn!ght the most beautiful group of women I have ever had the pleasure to work with
