Owner Colleen Stangeland purchased NEWTW!ST (formally TWIST) in 2000, with the
support of her husband Brad, owner and operator of Stangeland and Associates Landscape
Architecture firm.
The purchase of NEWTW!ST was something the two of them could put their hearts into, a
perfect venture for two people, who on different canvases, have chosen professions dedicated
to function and beauty.
The store, always evolving and changing, has kept true to its foundation, providing interesting
and unique products, mixing art and function, and offering outstanding customer service.
With the addition of www.NEWTWIST.com, they hope to extend the experience, and offer an inspiring
approach and a new twist to online shopping.

Colleen's first trip to Bali was a journey to visit her daughter Tara, who has lived in
Bali for the past nine years. Colleen fell in love with Bali, the people, and the beautiful
hand crafted goods produced in the villages. For Colleen it was simple, in an effort to connect
and surround herself with the essence of a place her daughter calls home, she would open a
store and bring Bali to Eugene. Colleen, Brad, and Tara worked together and in 2002 Toko Asia
opened it's doors.
Toko Asia (toko meaning small shop in Indonesian), is filled with vibrant color, Gamalon music
plays in the background, and for a moment you forget where you are. Toko Asia offers a glimpse of
Indonesia, a unique blend of culture and style.
There are treasures in every corner, a market place of fabulous finds including: handmade
jewelry by John Hardy and Carolyn Tyler, find hand woven baskets, artifacts from Balinese
markets, furniture old and new, and many other items to enhance your living spaces. Toko Asia
is an exclusive John Hardy store offering his Home Collection as well as his Jewelry Collection.
