Hello world! My name is Chloe Thibodeaux and I am the latest addition to the NEWTW!ST family. My short time here has been one of the most exciting facets of an adventure that began last year.  I left New Orleans, Louisiana after receiving my Master’s degree in philosophy; I suppose I was seeking a test of fortitude.  Leaving everything I knew behind and moving across the country definitely did the trick! Eugene is a very unique and beautiful place.  I’ve become enamored with the deeply entrenched sense of community Eugene residents display; the Oregonian ethos of local production and small business support is pretty amazing.  I feel very fortunate to now be able to contribute something in the vein of that philosophy.

On my first day at NEWTW!ST I was terribly nervous. Everyone was so lovely and knowledgeable, I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep up but I must say with deepest sincerity that I’ve never felt more welcomed and accepted.  That day I wore my first Albeit necklace; a number three.  Although I was a ballerina I’ve never been very girly.  This delicate little necklace awoke a part of me that loves jewelry and dresses!  Since then I’ve had the benefit of the incredible knowledge of my co-workers and have been able to learn more about the art and science of fine jewelry that I could have ever imagined.  The philosopher in me was immediately attracted to Jeanine Payer’s designs.  Each one is more than ornamentation; they are fragments of wisdom to be considered again and again.  And, of course, who wouldn’t love a Jamie Joseph ring.  I look forward to continuing the learning process, meeting more of our amazing customers, and helping them find the piece that speaks to their heart.
