Paraiba quartz, also known as “Medusa Quartz,” originates from the Paraiba state in Brazil where it was first discovered. Under magnification, certain stones exhibit a resemblance to the graceful form of a floating jellyfish known as “Medusas rondeau” from which it derives its nickname.
