A single striking eye motif is hand-scribed into the surface of a white Quahog shell droplet. Inspired by the Eighteenth Century fashion of wearing an amulet painted only with the eye of one’s lover—a discreet gesture of love at a time when outward expressions of romance were frowned upon.

This smooth cabochon quartz magnifies a striking leafless branch, hand-carved in silver, below it.  We were captivated by this ring the moment we laid our eyes upon it.
